Local MP Andrew Bingham has urged residents of Glossop and the surrounding area to take part in a Highways England survey about the Trans-Pennine Upgrade Programme.
The short survey, which is available until Friday 21 October, asks residents how the traffic affects them, before asking how strongly they support each of the elements of the scheme.
Andrew spent five hours at the public awareness event in Hollingworth last Saturday, and spoke to scores of local residents who had come along to see what progress was being made.
“The public awareness event was as busy as I expected to be, given the high levels of interest in this project. Although things aren’t moving quite as fast as I’d like, it was good to see the processes set out for people to see, and I was pleased that it was obvious that things are happening behind the scenes.
“There were survey forms at the event for people to fill in, and this survey can also be accessed online until Thursday 21st October. I’d urge local residents to complete the survey – especially those who use the road daily or are affected by the traffic there."
The information is available here, and the survey can be accessed by clicking on the ‘submitting your feedback’ text link from there.
